The first large solo show of Apollinaria Mishina

The first large solo show of Apollinaria Mishina

On January 14 the Russian National Library welcomed the Granted for the Common Good Exhibition. Every year the library displays the books which were granted by the representatives of governmental organizations and NGOs, authors and publishers.

This year the exhibition demonstrated the book-plates executed by a young artist from St. Petersburg and the youngest participant of our project, Apollinaria Mishina. Among other exhibits the exposition featured an amazing handwritten Leporello book marking the 200th anniversary of Nikolai Gogol. It is an author’s copy of the Nevsky Prospekt book; original thereof currently on display at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. The first solo show is an unchallenged and worthy triumph of a young graphic artist.

Bravo, Apollinaria!
