All-Russian Invalid Society at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

The Days of Japanese Culture at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre were attended by representatives and members of the All-Russian Invalid Society, a Moscow south-eastern district organization. Their excursion to the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was scheduled in the official plan of the organization. People with special abilities have become spectators at the opening ceremony and were able to observe the craftsmanship of Japanese masters in the field of calligraphy and ikebana.

After the event, all guests from the All-Russian Invalid Society expressed admiration for what they had seen. Lyubov Zapekina, curator of the locomotor patients interviewed all of her patients and summarized their admiration and excitement. She stressed that the museum is fully adapted for people with special abilities, well equipped with ramps and even a special toilet. The guests expressed their desire to come to the museum again and take part in a master class on writing technique, which they could practice at home. Finally, the curator of the group wrote many warm words in our guestbook.
