One Thousand Angels and One Picture Art Project Hits Moscow

Lekim Ibragimov, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, will be shaking the foundations of Moscow’s Gostiny dvor with his One Thousand Angels and One Picture art project until August 15th.

Every one of the presented one thousand paintings remarkably treats a different subject executed in picturesque calligraphy.

The author refers to his creation as to «visual epos», an ancient song to ring across the towns and cities visited by the exhibition. Apart from its philosophical and lyrical purport, the project carries out an important socially beneficial mission: to unite the West and the East, to propagate peace, love, and hope.

The concept was adopted from the tales of the One Thousand and One Nights and brought into life in a truly unique fashion that has no analogues in the world of contemporary art.

The chef d’oeuvre has been travelling around many cities of the world listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites each time picking a spacious exhibition area to provide more accessibility for the excited audience. In accordance with the author’s decision, part of the sponsors' funding will be channeled into charity, helping local children with special abilities.

After Russia, the megalocanvas will go to China.
