Merit of Right Action

This is the name of an art piece created by a famous artist working in Tibetan calligraphy. The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy commissioned the masterpiece to Tashi Mannox, a well-known calligrapher who devoted his life to Buddhism and Tibetan calligraphy.
Describing his work the master says: “I fully abandon bad deeds, but engage fully in all meritorious actions. In the pure merit of all beings, in all their virtuous deeds, I rejoice”.

Merit of Right Action

Tibetan Dru-tsa calligraphy in Chinese ink and Japanese mineral paint, small signature text in Petsug script, all on a ground wash and cloud detail of pure saffron, water-color paper.
This art piece will be a brilliant addition to the sacred calligraphy section in our Museum that now consists of the Orthodox, Islamic and Judaic works. The art piece will be available at the II International Exhibition of Calligraphy held from October 14th to November 14th, 2009.
