Famous Tibetan Calligraphy Master Tashi Mannox To Visit Moscow

By invitation of the Foundation for Contemplative Studies Tashi Mannox, a famous Tibetan calligraphy master will be visiting Moscow from October 24th to November 3rd, 2014. The master will hold a practical seminar in the dbu-can [pron: «u-chen»] script of Tibetan calligraphy, deliver two open lectures and perform in the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. An exhibition of the master’s works will be opened during the days of his visit. 

The British-born calligrapher, over the past 35 years Tashi has been studying different types of art disciplines of the East and the West, including being apprenticed for 17 years to Sherab Palden Beru, a renowned master of Tibetan arts, and Sanskrit calligraphy master Lama Pema Lodrup. During the time of his artistic career Tashi has implemented countless number of projects within the Buddhist tradition (including personal seals to the present to Kalu Rinpoche and other masters). He also participated in many exhibitions and festivals.

The Sunday's lecture will be held at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy around 2:00 pm on November 2nd. More detailed information will be available later on.
