Baku hosts Calligraphy, Miniature and Ceramics Exhibition.

The Calligraphy, Miniature and Ceramics exhibition has been opened in Baku.

The exhibition featured works by Azerbaijani artist Gyulkhan Baydemir, and Turkish artists Aysha Betul Ozey and Ozgun Feride Ozgan.

Gulkhan Baydemir conducted a master-class on the art of stone carving. Stone carving is the master’s biggest fascination for he seeks perfection in calligraphic inscriptions on stone.

In 2006, he held a solo exhibition in Baku.

In 2007, his exhibitions were opened in Germany and Austria. Many works of Gulkhan Baydemir were purchased by collectors from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Korea, and France.

In 2006, he won the first prize at a calligraphy contest for his work entitled Ahmed — Muhammad.

In 2007, he won the first prize at the Hz Movlana calligraphy contest.

In 2010, he opened his second solo exhibition of calligraphy.
