Biography

Mohammad Abdullah  Ghannoum

Mohammad Abdullah Ghannoum was born in 1949 in Damask.

In 1976 he graduated from the University of Damask, Fine Arts Department, Interior Design section.

In 1992 he defended a PhD thesis "The Art of Arabic Calligraphy" in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

Since 1985 Mohammad Abdullah Ghannoum has been taking an active part in international festivals and exhibitions of art, calligraphy and book-printing.

Since 1995 Mohammad has been teaching at the Fine Arts Department and Architecture Department in the University of Damask.
