Biography

Valeryan Bakharev
Valeryan Bakharev was born on 5th of May 1962 in Sverdlovsk. He studied at the Fine Art Department of the Khabarovsk Pedagogical Institute and at the Easel Painting Department in Moscow Correspondence People’s University of Arts. Since 1989 he has participated in many group exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Free artist, one of the founders of the Association of the Mid-Urals graphic artists. He illustrated I-Ching (the Book of Changes), one of the oldest books in human history, as well as Zhuangzi’s treatise. Lives and works in Yekaterinburg. His masterpieces are in private collections around the world.
