Biography

Kashou (Kazumi) Okamoto

First learned calligraphy at the age of 7 and has studied ever since. Since 1983, I have studied under Master Kouseki Hasegawa (長谷川光石 ) and Master Issyo Ito( 伊藤一翔 ). I was born in Hyogo Prefecture. I attended Nippon women's university.

Professional achievements:

- 1991.Winner of the Calligraphy competition by Yomiuri News paper

- 1991.Winner of the Hyogo Prefecture exhibition by gubernatorial

- 1992.Special prize of the Calligraphy competition by Nippon Syogeiin

- 1993.Winner of the Ako City exhibition by the mayor

- 1994.Highest honour "雲仙大賞" of the Calligraphy exhibition by the Bokuteki society
