“The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: One Belt, One Road” exhibition in Moscow

An exhibition named “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: One Belt, One Road,” organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy of Russia and the Association of Calligraphers of Russia, was held in Sokolniki Park in Moscow between September 20 and 22.

The overseer of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Alexey Shaburov, said that the event had put on display approximately 450 contemporary Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks. Zhang Huaqing, Chairman of the Chinese association of calligraphy “Sharp-pointed Nibs,” who visited the exhibition in Russia, noted that the displayed artworks were of top level, comprehensive style and rich forms, which amply demonstrated the charm of Chinese calligraphy.
