International Exhibition of Calligraphy

From September 16th-21st Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institution of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture will host the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. The exposition will contain the historic handwritten manuscripts of various epochs, writing and calligraphic utensils and a specialized library. The specimens of applied calligraphy include: embroidery and calligraphic engraving on household items.
There will be held master classes and cognitive lectures with practical lessons of calligraphy for the adults and children.

The first and single handwritten Constitution of the Russian Federation will become an exclusive exhibit of the show. The Constitution is the “offspring” of a whole group of calligraphers and publishers. This project promises to be the symbol of Russia’s revival and be preserved for centuries.
