A Calligraphy Exhibition in Moscow
The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Sokolniki Park, Moscow, saw the opening of an exhibition of the world’s handwritten chefs d’oeuvre. The visitors will be able to make a virtual trip to different parts of the world.
The exhibition will be running from November 1st to December 15th, featuring a complete display reload gradually moving the spectators from Europe to Asia, from West to East.
The exposition features calligraphic masterpieces from forty-three countries; some of them even enlisted into the Guinness World Records: calligraphic paintings, applied calligraphy items, writing utensils and materials. You will be surprised to discover a handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Decalogue, the Holy Mantra, the World Famous Mezuzah, Calligraphy on a Wing of a Fly miniature, etc.
This year the exhibition unites calligraphers from Russia, Spain, Germany, France, Great Britain, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Japan, China, and Qatar, RIA Novosti reports.
