The Red Star
Alexey Shaburov, special reporter of Mir Muzeya magazine, and Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, visited a unique museum at Xuanri paper factory.
The museum finds itself in a small town of Jingxian, Anhui province. The uniqueness of Xuanri factory and museum is its branded Red Star paper, which is used by every calligrapher and artist in China, and also serves as a material for calligraphy training in Chinese schools. Xuanri factory is listed as intangible heritage by UNESCO.
