Shana Tova! Congratulations on Rosh Hashanah!

Dear friends, we heartily congratulate the entire community of the people of Israel with a New Year 5772! On this Day we wish to all a very good and sweet New Year.

In the Jewish oral tradition, Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the sixth day of Creation — the day when G-d created the first man. Therefore, in the days when the old year gives way to a new one, people think about the mission with which they came into this world; this day vividly shows all the talents and abilities that will help achieve the full potential and accomplish the life mission.

Traditionally, the days of Rosh Hashanah are called the «Teshuvah» time — the time to rectify misdeeds and turn to G-d. Celebrating this Holy Day all believers should pay special attention to a great commandment associated with the Rosh Hashanah: the Shofar blowing. This sound is reminiscent of Jewish forefathers’ merits, and in particular of the sacrifice of Isaac. While shofar is blowing we also remember the giving of the Torah. The Book says that the moment it was given to people a very loud sound could be heard — a Shofar sound — and it confirmed a new union between the Holy One and the Sons of Israel.

Revealing his soul to shofar, a man can mobilize all the best that he has inside, he will then overcome errors, eliminate weaknesses and find a life full of deep meaning and happiness.

We wish all Jews a good and sweet year, well-being and many happy days!

Shana Tova Umetukah — Have a good and sweet year!
