Outstanding representatives of Chinese musical culture visited Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

Last Friday the professors from Tianjin Conservatory, Mrs. Li Fengyun and Mr. Wang Jianxin, performing guqin cither and bamboo flutes (xiao, dizi, and ocarina xun) players, visited the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.

Li Fengyun is a proficient guqin cither (an old Chinese musical instrument) player, the Deputy Chairman of the Chinese Association of Guqin Players, the Professor of Tianjin Conservatory, teacher and researcher of Chinese musical culture and guqin traditions.

Wang Jianxin is a proficient bamboo flutes (xiao, dizi, and ocarina xun) player, the Doctor of Art History, the Professor of Tianjin Conservatory, library manager, researcher of Chinese musical culture, and teacher.

The guests were keen to take a tour of the unique exhibition displayed in the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and appreciated the calibre of preparations to the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition.
