Museum representative met with renowned calligraphers in Beijing

On August 21, 2019, the Deputy Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Kharyutkin met in Beijing, the capital of China, with a group of calligraphers, which will participate in the forthcoming exhibition “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting,” due September 20-22, 2019. Mao Guangsong, Yuan Pu, and partner and representative of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Beijing, Mr. Zhang Weichang, also took part in the meeting. Alexey Kharyutkin gave a detailed overview of the preparations to the large-scale exhibition project and its agenda, while calligrapher Mao Guangsong donated to the exhibition a selection of special calligraphy artworks. Eight originally styled calligraphy pieces depict the quotes by the President of China Xi Jinping reflecting upon the friendship between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
