Calligraphy Exhibition Open In Ulan Bator

Today Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia, attended the opening of an exhibition devoted to the best art works in calligraphy executed in the style of an old Mongolian script, which is considered to be one of Mongolia’s written languages. This year the exhibition is to be held for the fifth time.

Mongolian people have created around a dozen scripts, including old Mongolian script, which has been in use from the 13th century to present day. The Mongolian calligraphers, who presented their works, were awarded with diplomas by the President himself.
