Calligraphy at the North Pole again

The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and Sokolniki Museum-Educational Complex took part in the corporate event of the largest IT companies dedicated to the North Pole exploration.

The event took place in the Podmoskovnaya Sloboda VIP vacation retreat. Sokolniki Museum-Educational Complex provided a 1937 analogue polar tent (the one which Sokolniki MEC erected at the North Pole in 2007) and archive newspapers containing the articles of the past expeditions. In addition to the polar exposition the tent represented the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. Representatives of IT corporations eagerly followed the exhibition presentation and gave positive feedback to the Sokolniki MEC social projects. Many of them were surprised to learn the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was in Moscow and promised to come and see the unique items personally. On behalf of Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, the department heads of Hewlett-Packard and Intel (the show’s organizers) were presented with calligraphy catalogues.
