А snip of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy in Rosinka
On June 13th, the Rosinka International Residential Estate, tenanted by families from more than thirty countries, top managers of Russian and foreign companies, representatives of embassies and trade missions most of them, celebrated its 19th anniversary.
Sokolniki MEC took an active part in the event. It erected eleven gorgeous white Röder tents manufactured by a famous German company. The pavilion displaying a part of the exposition of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy and of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy also found a niche. In the context of the exhibition calligraphers Yuri Koverdyayev (Russia) and Chen Wenfu (China) demonstrated their virtuosity.
The exhibition aroused meticulous attention of the local residents and festival guests (about one thousand five hundred people were present at the show, with four hundred children among them). The visitors came to appreciate original calligraphy works of art from across the world, applied calligraphy items, and a new exhibit of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy – the Decalogue. Little children were able to enjoy master classes of illustrious calligraphers, pen lessons and magic of beautiful handwriting.Combination of an exquisite event and fine art set up a good tradition of festivals in Rosinka.
