Your handwriting reflects you

Citizens of St. Petersburg have a great chance to learn how to calligraphically write their own names at the Academy of Arts located on Universitetskaya Embankment. Nowadays, when people mainly use a computer keyboard instead of a usual pen to write something, the forgotten art of beautiful and symbolic writing provokes a particular interest. Besides the museum exhibition, which will include historical manuscripts' samples of different countries and ages, visitors will see writing utensils and calligraphy items.

A handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation is the centerpiece of the collection. Each letter symbolizes the power of Russia. This legendary manuscript took months of finicky work to be finally presented to the world.

Those who are yet unaware of this beautiful art will have an opportunity to take master classes. To uplift interest, it is curious to know that graphology experts only need a word to tell a lot about the character and internal problems the author of this handwriting has. The Exhibition will last until September 21st.
