The mission is to build a beautiful and healthy society.

The project aims to revive the forgotten art of calligraphy in Russia, to make it widely available, and to create conditions for its development.

Calligraphy (Greek — “beautiful handwriting”) — is the art of beautiful and clear handwriting. The exhibition will feature the works of well-known calligraphers from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. We want people to fully understand and feel this refined art, so at the exhibition there will be works of foreign calligraphic schools from Europe, the Baltic states, the USA, Israel, China, Japan, Syria, Mongolia, the UAE, Turkey, India, Taiwan, Australia, Palestine, Jordan, Brazil, Peru, Armenia, and Iran.

The large museum exposition will include historical samples of manuscripts of different ages, utensils for writing and lettering and specialized library. Applied calligraphy is represented by embroidery and calligraphic engravings on household items.

Master-classes, educational lectures, and workshops for children and adults alike will be held by the world’s top calligraphers.

The first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation will also be premiered. This unique project prepared by the National Union of Calligraphers and the Rare Book from St. Petersburg publishing house promises to be the symbol of the restoration of Russia and be preserved for ages.

The Mystery of the World Calligraphy exposition will include thirty-five miniature constitutions (from the USSR, the Russian Federation, CIS, Asia, and Europe) and inauguration speeches of the leaders of different countries.

Additionally, handwritten copies of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s inauguration oath and speech will be presented.

The art of calligraphy offers a unique opportunity to develop one’s personality at any age.

A new quality of life is not merely possible, but it is in fact a reality. MVK is not forcing its new project upon you. We just call talented people to build up a beautiful and healthy society by joint effort.
