The exhibition came as an essential component among other events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Russia and China, organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy of Russia, the Association of Calligraphers of Russia, and Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre. Its exhibit features 450 Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks displayed in Russia for the first time ever, offering a vast diversity, clean character pattern, and various styles that amply reflect the cultural essence of Chinese calligraphy. Artworks of Chinese calligraphers and artists are also complemented by fascinating pieces created by Russian calligraphy connoisseurs.
