The National school of beautiful writing art has resumed its work online.

On June 1, 2020, the National school of beautiful writing art held its first online class –the students of the "Beautiful Handwriting" course, which started in March, but was interrupted due to the COVID-19 epidemic, switched to distance learning.

The National school of beautiful writing art operates on the basis of the World Calligraphy Museum. The museum is currently on evacuation, since the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, on the territory of which it is located, has been converted into a reserve hospital for patients with coronavirus. It is not yet known, when the school will be able to start working in its usual mode. However, for the management and teachers of the school-this is not a reason for inaction. Thanks to online format, the school hopes that it will be able not only to keep the majority of its students, but also to invite the new ones.

"Despite the fact that such an applied subject as calligraphy is better studied in the presence of live contact, we were able to resume our work, and this is, certainly, a wonderful event. In the near future, we plan to transfer the remaining courses to distance learning. We will try to organize the training in such a way that it can be as comfortable and effective as possible. We hope that beautiful writing art lovers from other cities will also join us,"-says Olga Shaburova, the Deputy Director of the school of beautiful handwriting art.
