“I became an artist specializing in fine art calligraphy during the early 1980“s. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from the University of Illinois (1970). As a calligraphic artist, my desire is to preserve meaningful texts in elegant artistic form. For the past fifteen years my husband and I have managed our own art gallery in Dunedin, Florida. I create original artworks, handmade calligraphic books, logo designs, commissioned pieces, and a variety of giclee prints”.

“As well as being an artist, over the years I have worked to organize guild workshops and calligraphy exhibits, including AlphaMark international calligraphy exhibition from 1999-2001 in the USA and Canada. My goal this year is to form a group of new students to whom I can pass on the concepts and skills I have learned in my study of lettering arts”.

“I trained in workshops with many calligraphy teachers, including Thomas Ingmire, Dick Beasley, Ieuan Rees, Ann Hechle, Peter Thornton, Suzanne Moore, Sue Hufton and Sally Mae Joseph”.
International calligraphy conferences attended: Chicago Illinois; St. John’s University Minnesota; Trenton New Jersey; Arlington Virginia; San Diego California; Lethbridge Alberta Canada; Boston Massachusetts and St. Louis Missouri.

Teaching: Adult level calligraphy courses at Dunedin Fine Art Center; Elderhostel workshop in Gatlinburg Tennessee, guild workshops in Orlando and Sarasota, Florida and Currently teaching private classes at Painted Fish Gallery, Dunedin Florida.
