An exhibition of Chinese painting and calligraphy is opened in Tokyo

An exhibition of Chinese painting and calligraphy was opened today at the Waseda University located in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition features around one hundred works of over ten renowned Chinese painters and calligraphers.

Bai Gang, the Japanese Ambassador to China and Kaoru Kamata, the Chancellor of the Waseda University attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. They both delivered a speech. In his report Bai Gang remarked that the exhibition unveiled on the Waseda University premises will definitely do good to the young generation in a deeper understanding of the traditional culture of China.

Kaoru Kamata on his part announced that the Waseda University makes huge efforts to contribute to the friendship between Japan and China. Half of the students who studied in this university came from China. He also expressed hope for this exhibition to be able to further promote the development of amicable relationships between Japan and China.
