The Old Russian script

  • The history of the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet
  • Handwritten letters and Russian ornaments in Russian writing
  • Russian Uncial cursive writing

Creating artistic compositions based on the studied script. Presentation of final works.

Homework assigned after each class.

The course is for children from 7 to 12 years old.
Number of students in class: 10-12.
Duration: 6 months.
Classes held Saturdays, 05.00 pm.
The academic programme consists of 24 lessons (48 academic hours).
Frequency: 1 class per week (two academic hours with a break).
Venue: The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
At the first class students will receive the Young Calligrapher’s Kit.
Before enrollment to the course, the course teacher holds an interview with the child and the child’s parent(s).
