At long last! Hand lettering for all—even those with the shakiest handwriting. Join us for this innovative and welcoming approach to hand lettering with the talented Mr. Billy Ola Hutchinson. You will learn basic penmanship and letter formation, as well as calligraphy process, materials, and layout.
Billy creates his own line of stationery stemming from a passion for calligraphy.
His penmanship has been featured in magazines and on wedding invitations, place cards, monograms, and brand identities. At present, he’s working on a home line for an exclusive luxury goods retailer in San Francisco.
Materials to bring: Black ink (Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black, Higgins Eternal, Higgins Calligraphy); mechanical pencil; two no. 2 pencils; Strathmore 80 lb. drawing paper (11" X 14" tablet); C-THRU ruler (2" X 18"); a small container for water.
