The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is presented in St. Petersburg
The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is opened in St. Petersburg. It gathers over 350 works by the elite representatives of a variety of calligraphy schools from 24 countries. The visitors will see a great gallery of rare and unseen manuscripts and the most fascinating, yet unexplored, samples of Slavic writing, historical manuscripts from all over the world, rare letters and documents, belonging to the Romanovs, the noble family of Russia. Besides this, there are scarce miniature books from private collections and distinct samples of applied calligraphy. The one and only handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation is one of the brightest masterpieces presented at the exhibition.
