The International Exhibition of Calligraphy attracted the interest of museums in Paris and New York
The exhibits presented at the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, which was unfolded in I.E. Repin State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in St Petersburg from September 16th – 21st, might be touring to Paris and New York.
Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and the International Exhibition of Calligraphy project author shared the information about negotiations going on with the representatives of these two museums during a press conference held in the Baltic Information Agency (BIA) St. Petersburg, on Tuesday, September 16th. The collection of artworks which can go to the exhibition in these foreign museums has already been gathered. There is only left to ensure the artists' permission and then A. Shaburov himself was to represent them abroad as the project’s leader. If the exhibition becomes international and the exhibits go touring the world’s cities, then it will be held every 4 years in St. Petersburg.
According to the exhibition organizers, MVK has already caught the attention of quill pen manufacturers, technical gadgets and writing utensils manufacturers which offer to hold the presentations of their products within the framework of the exhibition. The organizers plan to reveal their future plans of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy on September 22nd, at the closing ceremony of the exhibition.
