St. Petersburg is opening a unique International Exhibition of Calligraphy

The International Exhibition of Calligraphy opens today at I.E. Repin State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in St. Petersburg.

During the whole week everyone is welcomed to examine works of calligraphers from all over the world, the amazing masterpieces of masters who dedicated their lives to the art of beautiful writing. Visitors will be impressed with the exposition which includes historical manuscripts' samples of different ages. The organizers are planning to deliver a series of master classes by the most prominent and distinct calligraphy writers and a set of lectures with a hands-on learning activity both for adults and kids.

Within the framework of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, the first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation will be presented to the general public on September 17th at 2.00 pm. This is a truly unique and unsurpassed project initiated and jointly organized by the National Union of Calligraphers and the Rare Book of Saint-Petersburg Publishing House.
