Enrolment into the National School of Calligraphy’s Children’s Courses in Progress
Now even 8 year old kids can try themselves in calligraphy
We are happy to announce that the doors of the National School of Calligraphy will be open real soon after the summer break and this time we will launch long-awaited courses for the youngest calligraphy appreciators!
A little information about the kids’ preparatory course called “Hello Calligraphy”:
- Syllabus:
- What is calligraphy?
- Instruments and materials of calligraphers.
- Working rules and workspace organization.
- Plastic properties of a flat nib.
- Rules for the treatment of a flat nib, proper care.
- Touching paper with a nib.
- The concept of rhythm and regularity.
- Writing of the basic elements.
Breaks between lessons include gaming sessions, contributing to the development of visual memory and formal thought.
We give some homework.
- The course is built for kids from 8 to 12.
As an exception, we accept kids younger and older. - Duration – 1 month.
- Program is designed for 4 lessons (8 class periods).
- Frequency of sessions – 1 time a week (2 class periods with a break).
- Place of study – the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
- The cost – 12000 RUR.
At the first lesson, every kid gets “Young Calligrapher’s Folder” with all necessary writing utensils and materials.
Children and their parents should undergo an interview before entering the course!
