Master-class in calligraphy to be held in Stavropol museum

On December 25th within the Vasily Smirnov Drawing and Calligraphy Lessons Exhibition the G. N. Prozritelev and G. K. Prave Stavropol State Historical and Cultural and Natural Landscape Museum Reserve is offering the Write Beautifully master-class held by E.A. Vasiliev, a teacher of specific subjects at the Stavropol Art School.

The main goal of the museum master-classes in calligraphy is the knowledge development about the culture of written language.

Master classes in calligraphy are made to help people focus on the sense of rhythm and regularity development, to help them understand how to write smoothly and beautifully. They teach to see the nicety of calligraphy not only during calligraphy lessons, but also in the context of everyday life writing routines: it is useful for schoolchildren when they are doing home tasks in workbooks or for students while writing down a lecture; when designing handwritten documents, such as an application for a job.

During the above mentioned master-classes in calligraphy visitors will be offered to examine samples of fonts used in the cultures of different nations and dated to different historical periods. Participants of the master-classes will have the opportunity to learn the elements of Russian calligraphy using a quill pen in a specially designed Copybook of the Write Beautifully museum’s visitor.
