The International Exhibition of Calligraphy

The 1st International Exhibition of Calligraphy held in Russia is a cultural and educational project, which was made to revive the domestic culture of writing traditions, show the educational and cultural significance of the project in the spiritual advance of a human and encourage the future development and practical application of calligraphy in the world as an individual art.

The biggest part of the exhibition will present a vast gallery of rare, scarce and unseen samples of Slavic writings, historical manuscripts of the world’s nations, miniature books from private collections, writing materials and utensils of all ages, distinct samples of applied calligraphy and specialized books.

The international status of the project is presented by the best calligraphy schools from: Russia, USA, Germany, Israel, Palestine, Mongolia, Italy, Syria, Ukraine, France, Belarus, Australia, India, Turkey, Norway, Taiwan, China, Jordan, Peru and other countries.

The official opening of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy will take place on September 17th, 2008.
