The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is warmly supported in Rostov-on-Don
Rostov-on-Don has always been famous for its talented people. The art of calligraphy is well preserved in this sunny southern city. Masters Victor Saliev and Vitaly Shapovalov greeted the idea of the project with great enthusiasm and eagerly joined it.
On April 1st, 2008 Dmitry Savelyev, member of the Project Team, met the two Rostov calligraphers. During the meeting, they outlined many prospects for cooperation, which put fresh heart into the project. Victor Saliev specializes in applied calligraphy. In his workshop, he masterfully engraves calligraphic scripts on metal, glass and wood. Thus, the exhibition is now enriched with calligraphic masterpieces executed not only on paper, but also on some unusual materials.
