Russian and Chinese Calligraphy Development Conference scheduled for early October

On May 17 Alexey Shaburov, President of Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre and Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, met with calligrapher Kong Lingmin, and Ms. Xuan Hong Lian representing OOO RBT.

During the meeting Shaburov demonstrated the exhibition centre and gave a brief personal tour of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. Ms. Xuan Hong Lian expressed confidence that OOO RBT and Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre will be able to cooperate in both commercial and cultural projects.

The parties agreed to jointly hold the Russian and Chinese Calligraphy Development Conference on October 7-8, 2019. The list of the conference organizers will include the following:

  • The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy
  • RBT Company
  • Beijing Institute for National Chinese Painting and Calligraphy “The Great Wall”

  • The Committee of the Federal State Duma on Education and Science

The event will become a part of the activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationships between Russia and China.
