Watercolour paintings inspired by Arabic calligraphy in Zamalek

An exhibition of watercolour paintings by Lona Zakaria entitled The Sound of Letters opened in Zamalek on Sunday.

Zakaria is inspired by the beauty of Arabic calligraphy and deploys the forms in her paintings.

She is a faculty member of the Higher Institute for Applied Arts and was the former art director and deputy editor-in-chief of TV and Radio Magazine.

The exhibition continues until 7 March at the Egyptian Centre for Cultural Cooperation in Zamalek.
