Sokolniki MEC “calligraphizes” big business
On July 18, 2009, the management of Sokolniki Museum-Educational Complex and the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy paid official visit to the Agalarov Estates residence. The beau-monde gathered at the gala reception celebrating the end of construction of the Beach Club and opening of a golf club. The ceremony was attended by Shamil Tarpishchev, Andrei Malakhov, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Arkady Novikov, Irina Khakamada, Svetlana Kuznetsova, and many other distinguished guests. The entertainment program of the evening included golf and tennis tournaments, rare cars’ show, off-road test drive, and a cocktail party at the swimming pool. Soon after he won the tennis tournament, Aras Agalarov, the hero of the day, was awarded with a present from Sokolniki Museum-Educational Complex. The company’s press-secretary presented Mr. Agalarov with a unique catalogue featuring art pieces of the best-known calligraphers from all over the world. You may see most of these works of art at the II International Exhibition of Calligraphy company to be held from October 14th to November 14th, 2009 in Moscow. This time we’ll be the hosts and Mr. Agalarov will be a guest at our show.
