Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy held insightful talk about Chinese writing

The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy has held another talk as a part of the Public University project, to spin the evolution of the Chinese writing through the ages.

Speaker – Dmitry Khudyakov, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor in the School of Asian Studies, Higher School of Economics, told about the evolution of Oriental writing and the diversity of texts carefully preserved for us within the Chinese culture. He also touched upon the factors that have determined stability of the Chinese writing culture and marked its key milestones. The text and the writing can be justifiably labelled the cornerstone of the entire Far Eastern civilization. Genuine interest of the audience could be observed throughout the entire event.
