Nowadays schoolchildren do not know how to write with a pen or a pencil. Only a few of them are capable to write by hand. Even though they are taught by samples of writing at primary schools. Experts believe there is far too little time given to learn calligraphy. A poor developed and unclaimed in future skill gets lost very fast. As a result, schoolchildren write extremely poorly, so their handwriting could provide competition to doctors, who top the calligraphy anti-rating worldwide. Only few people can brag about beautiful handwriting.

However, schoolmasters flatly disagreed that we should leave the attempt to develop in children the skill of writing by hand at the era of high technologies. They suggest that having lost the ability to write, schoolchildren lose not only their handwriting but the ability to learn new material as well. According to psychologists, this happens because their motor memory, which is the strongest and the most lasting one, is not involved. Moreover, the rejection of writing by hand can cause an extra menace to children’s mental health.
