Opening of the first one-man exhibition by V.V. Shapovalov: Calligraphy, Water and Chance

On September 12th, 2014, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy will witness the opening of the first one-man exhibition by famous calligraphy master Vitaliy Shapovalov Calligraphy, Water and Chance.

The exhibition will feature over one hundred original calligraphy works including a large art series (Alphabet of Calligraphy Initials), Creation of the World and a series of works made in collaboration with Japanese calligrapher Yoshida Yoshiko etc.) and exclusive paintings made in a unique and inimitable technique.

The visitors will be able to plunge into the magical world of calligraphy and watercolour painting created by V.V. Shapovalov, appreciate the wide range of his artistic skills and comprehend the delicate nature of the art of beautiful writing.

Vitaliy Shapovalov is a member of the National Union of Calligraphers, a regular participant of the International calligraphy exhibition, a watercolourist and a widely-known master of calligraphy.

The exhibition opens at 16:00

Entrance fee  – 200 rub.
Free entrance for the disabled, veterans, orphaned children and children under 7 years old.

Please note that the one-man exhibition by V.V. Shapovalov will be open for everyone through October 12th.

Within the scope of the exhibition you can attend the following events:

  • 1. 13.09.2014 -- Meeting with artist V.V. Shapovalov (beginning at 14.00)
  • 2. 14.09.2014 – Master-class for children hosted by Kozubova N.V. Learn to Write Beautifully! English Cursive with a Pointed Pen" (beginning at 14.00).
  • 3. 21.09.2014 – Master-class Usual Handwriting as a Mirror of Soul hosted by graphologist Larisa Drygval (beginning at 14:00)

Entrance fee to all the events – 300 rub.
Free entrance for the disabled, veterans, orphaned children and children under 7 years old.
