The winners for the Romanian National Calligraphy Contest announced

Earlier this month, the winners of the Romanian National Calligraphy Contest were announced. The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy acted as the contest’s information and expertise partner.

The lists are published on the website of the contest organizers, the Asociatia Liber la Educatie, Cultura si Sport (LECS) non-commercial organization.

Over 900 works in severa age categories were submitted for the contest and were judged by professional calligraphers from both within and from outside the country, members of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and of the National Library of Romania, as well as representatives of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow and the LECS Association.

The winning works are now on display at the special Expo Caligrafia exhibit that was inaugurated on February 16th at the National Romanian Library and will last one month, till March 16th. And the best three works will also be presented at the 6th International Exhibition of Calligraphy in Moscow.

The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy extends its congratulations to all the participants, the winners and the organizers of this inaugural event.
